Market Commentary – April 2026

Please join us as our Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, Murray McLean provides a review of the 1st quarter of 2026 and shares our thoughts about the outlook for the balance of the year. Murray addresses the ongoing war in Iran and the resulting spike in oil prices. There is a great deal of uncertainty about whether this campaign will end quickly or might extend well beyond the initial 4-6 week expectations. This campaign has the potential to foster inflation and reduce economic growth both of which are key inputs for the central banks in setting interest rates during 2026.
